Victoria Square
Victoria Square is a historic neighbourhood in Markham, north of the former village of Unionville and just south of the protected Greenbelt, which is part of the Oak Ridges Moraine. It is a tiny hamlet with a local gas station, restaurant, butcher shop and a dozen or so historic houses, that serve as reminders of the old village.
Victoria Square has recently experienced a significant growth of new development that surrounds the historic neighbourhood and has a variety of housing options available such as townhouses, semi-detached and fully detached homes.
The Victoria Square community has easy access to Highway 404 and is also home to several large employers such as: Honda Canada, Hyundai and Enbridge Gas. It is also close to Cathedraltown’s retail areas as well as farmer’s markets, parks, golf courses and many rural recreational activities.
